New Era at Aksa Generator

Aksa Generator, the leading brand in the generator sector, has restructured its management in accordance with the emerging market trends. In the new structure centered on the Executive Board, Rıdvan Özer was appointed as the General Manager of Sales and Marketing and Nazmi Atalay was appointed as the General Manager of Operations.

Operating in 170 countries from America to Asia, from Africa to Oceania; Aksa Generator, one of the world's five largest generator manufacturers with production facilities in Turkey, China and the USA, has implemented a new management structure in order to contribute to its global brand image in line with its growth plans. With this new structuring; Rıdvan Özer was appointed as the General Manager of Sales and Marketing and Nazmi Atalay was appointed as the General Manager of Operations responsible for the Global Production and Service organization , while Şevket Hakan Özgüler, who was the CFO, was directly connected to the Executive Board. With its renewed structure, all business units of Aksa Generator will continue to work without slowing down to become a global brand in the coming period.

Rıdvan Özer, who was appointed as the General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Aksa Generator, completed his Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering education at Yıldız Technical University. Borusan Power Systems started in the generator sector in 1997 at Caterpillar. Özer, who received the Leadership Faculty and Sales Faculty trainings at Borusan Academy, which is carried out in cooperation with Sabancı University, also holds 6 SIGMA black belt certificates. After working at various levels at Borusan Power Systems Caterpillar for 15 years and assuming responsibility as a sales manager, he established the Turkey operation of Aggreko, one of the world's leading companies in the field of energy leasing, and then worked as a general manager in various countries at Aggreko for a total of 7 years.

Nazmi Atalay, who was appointed as the General Manager of Operations, graduated from Yıldız Technical University Mechanical Engineering Department and completed the Business Administration Specialization Program at Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration, Institute of Business Administration in 1990. Atalay, who started his working life afterwards, worked as sales engineer, regional manager, general manager, board member and vice president of sales and marketing at domestic and international locations and headquarters at Aksa Generator.

Şevket Hakan Özgüler, who has been serving as the Vice President of Financial Affairs of Aksa Generator CFO since 2014, completed the Economics Department of Istanbul University after Saint-Michel French High School. After a 13-year banking career, Özgüler started to work at Aksa Generator and completed the Executive MBA program at Koç University during her banking career. Özgüler worked in managerial positions in the real sector for 12 years.

Stating that Aksa Generator is working with the goal of becoming one of the top three manufacturers in the world by 2025, Necati Baykal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aksa Generator, stated that the new structuring was implemented within the scope of growth strategies. Baykal gave the following information about the growth plans: "Our management approach is to grow steadily by strengthening our strong position in the global market and our ability to look at customer-oriented and innovative approaches from different windows. In our new structuring, we will take firm steps towards our goals to become a more active and innovative brand in global markets with a more visionary perspective. We will continue to establish new investments and partnerships especially in countries such as Asia Pacific markets, Africa and the Americas and India, and strengthen our position among the top 5 manufacturers in the Global Generator market.

Powered giant projects

Aksa Generator has three production facilities in Turkey, China and the USA. Providing services with 19 offices and 4 representative offices in Asia, Europe, Africa and America, Aksa Generator provided 65 percent of its turnover from overseas sales in 2019. In addition to supplying 90 MW generators to the IGA project in Turkey, Aksa Generator, which is involved in giant projects such as Ghana Kotoka Airport and Ashgabat Olympic Complex in the international arena, recently provided energy support to the 10 MW power plant project with the Republic of Vanuatu, the tourism paradise of Oceania. Aksa Generator, which realizes innovative products that respond to the needs of different markets and sectors with its R&D investments, produced the first generator to take over the system in 8 seconds.
