Mitsubishi Electric, an ambitious actor in the field of factory automation and advanced robotics technologies in Turkey, has been awarded the 4th Prize. He attended the Aegean Economic Forum. Mitsubishi Electric Turkey Factory Automation Systems Product Management and Marketing Department Manager Tolga Bizel spoke at the panel on "High Technology Based Production Ecosystem". Speaking about the contributions of digitalization to production, Bizel shared the brand's work in the field of automation and smart production technologies while giving up-to-date information about digital factories.

Organized with the participation of governorships, municipalities, universities, chambers of industry and commerce, chambers of tradesmen and craftsmen, agricultural chambers, regional industrialists' and businessmen's associations and regional companies of 10 provinces in the Aegean region, the Aegean Economic Development Foundation (EGEV), which works to promote the Aegean region to foreign investors, the 4. Within the scope of the Aegean Economic Forum, Mitsubishi Electric Turkey Factory Automation Systems Product Management and Marketing Department Manager Tolga Bizel, who met with the participants in the "High Technology Based Production Ecosystem" panel; digitalization, artificial intelligence and robot technologies in the field of production in the field of pioneering technologies shared.

"With e-F@ctory, we enable the industry to gain a new dimension"

Tolga Bizel, who talked about Mitsubishi Electric's e-F@ctoryyaklaş, which is the answer to Industry 4.0; "By creating a virtual factory before the investment, we offer the opportunity to simulate the line and production that will emerge, evaluate the efficiency and shape the investment in line with the outputs generated. In this way, flexible and efficient production is possible. At the same time, we take an approach where humans and robots work collaboratively; In this direction, we develop new generation products and solutions in the field of advanced robot technologies.

Last year, we implemented a 'digital twin' application with our robots and iQ Platform PLCs on the production line of one of Turkey's leading electronic goods manufacturers. Thanks to our digital twin application, we have added flexibility and efficiency to production without interfering with the actual production line. Thanks to digital twin simulation, a factory's design processes are shortened and simulation precision is further improved. We are currently working on a similar project at an important brand in another sector."

Productivity increases in factories with Maisart technology

Stating that they have carried out innovative studies on artificial intelligence, especially in the field of robotics technologies and that they have used Mitsubishi Electric's registered AI brand "Maisart" technology in order to ensure that companies get maximum benefit from artificial intelligence, Bizel continued as follows: "Mitsubishi Electric's AI creates the State-of-the-ART in technology (Mitsubishi Electric's AI and the latest technology) is used in artificial intelligence-based factories with 'Maisart', which is the abbreviation of the phrase and increasing efficiency while reducing equipment downtime in plants. Using a machine learning algorithm, this technology analyzes sensor data and then creates a model of production machine migration between different operational states. This enables the rapid and accurate detection of machine abnormalities that signal unexpected situations in machinery to increase efficiency in plants and plants."

Preparing the industry for the future with artificial intelligence-supported robots

Stating that the use of robots is rapidly spreading today and the work done in factories is changing, Bizel said, "With the new generation of collaborative robots, we enable companies to install their robotic systems quickly, intuitively and at lower costs, and to respond flexibly to rapidly changing business environments and social needs. This makes it possible to prevent unexpected failures and to warn users in advance about the parts that will cause failure. Our robots work faster with the power sensor than traditional systems and without damaging the system; It gradually improves its performance by learning. We have world-class companies in production technologies in Turkey. Especially with our artificial intelligence-supported robots working with the reinforcement learning method, we are preparing the leading companies of the sector for the future. Factory environments, where robots move freely and where robots can decide where and what job to do, have been implemented in many facilities, especially our factory in Japan. We are working to implement this in Turkey as well."

Digitalization needs to become a company culture

Tolga Bizel, who said that leaving comfort and transformation is difficult in every age, completed his words as follows: "As a country, it is possible to say that we are the most important production region in the region in terms of production and responding to Industry 4.0. Industrialists have great awareness about digitalization and are eager to invest, but as in all areas, cost savings in production lines are of great importance. From experience, we can say that it is convenient for industrialists to turn the cost of digitalization in production within three to five years. On the other hand, rather than the amount of cost, digitalization needs to become a company culture and be managed sustainably. At the same time, whether digital transformation will improve the quality of production and product is becoming more important than the cost itself."
