New Fluke electricity measurement window saves time for increased safety and power quality measurements

Fluke introduced the electrical measurement window, which can provide quick access to current sensors and voltage within electrical panels. This device offers its users low maintenance costs and fewer downtime. Power quality and energy measurements can be made using external access points without opening the panel door, ensuring safer access and faster connections.

The new Fluke PQ400 Electrical Measuring Window can be easily installed using a stepped drill bit and an electrohydraulic drill. Three-phase voltage, current and ground connections cover most measurement configurations. Once installed, users can unlock the window cover, lift the cover, and connect the analyzer or recorder ends. The Fluke PQ400 provides access to critical power quality and energy data to reduce the risk of arc flash and electric shock. In addition, by reducing the hazards associated with taking measurements on open panels, the troubleshooting process time can be completed in a short time and connections can be made without affecting operations.

The Fluke 1740 and 1730 Series provide power quality, automatic probe detection for energy recorders and compatible clamps, eliminating the need to open the cab to control the clamp model. Compatibility with standard 4 mm coated safety socket voltage test leads simplifies voltage connections, increases safety by reducing the risk of accidentally touching live components, and reduces the need to purchase special voltage leads. The PQ400 is also compatible with the Fluke 430 Series Power Quality Analyzers.

PQ400 windows have a safety rating for CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V, while the 360-degree full rotation allows the electrical measuring window to be directed in any direction.
