Günsan Elektrik's statement that why not women in the electricity sector dominated by men " The "Women Enlightening Life" project has created a new business area for many women. Hülya Çınar, who graduated with 3 months and 508 hours of theoretical and practical training within the scope of the project, opened her shop as an electrician and started to work.
In our country, sectors such as energy, construction and especially electricity are at the top of the sectors where women do not have enough of them. Women who cannot do what they want to do due to prejudices such as 'this job is a man's job' and 'women cannot do this job' and who leave their dreams behind, cannot easily achieve their economic freedom. The "Women Enlightening Life" project, which Günsan Elektrik, which stands out with its innovative products and systems in the electricity sector, implemented in 2019 in order to make room for women in the electricity sector and to contribute to equal opportunities and employment for women and men, draws attention as an important beginning in order to change the traditional structure of a male-dominated sector such as the electricity sector. Hülya Çınar, one of the graduates of the project, opened the first shop in Sancaktepe, Istanbul and started to practice her profession.
"The important thing is not to give up"
Hülya Çınar, who said that the inspiration of the project and the electrician Hanife Kaymaz inspired her, said, "Hanife Hanım encouraged me as one of the women craftsmen who opened her own shop. When I told him that I was going to be an electrician, I didn't expect that my environment would immediately approve and support me. The important thing here is not to give up what you want and to make an effort to realize what you want to do. I opened my shop, I am very happy. I am thinking of giving jobs to other women in my shop."
They received extensive training for 3 months Within the scope of the Women Enlightening Life project, which was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services and İŞKUR Sancaktepe Service Center, 13 women between the ages of 20-45 who were not currently working but were looking for a job received training for 3 months. The women, who completed their training at the end of last July and received their certificates, stepped into working life as electricians. The source of inspiration for the project is Hanife Kaymaz, who works as an electrician in her shop opened with her own means in Üsküdar, Istanbul 8 years ago.
