For the first time in the history of the world, solar power plants with a capacity of more than 120 GW are expected to be installed in 2019. By the end of 2023, global capacity could be 1 TW. In parallel, a similar revolution is observed in many different subjects. The total number of electric cars in the world, which is 2 million, is expected to be 266 million units in 2040. It is possible that the cost of electricity storage, which was 900 USD/kWh just a few years ago, will fall to 100 USD/kWh in 2023 at the latest. Houses, factories and shopping malls that produce their own electricity began to spread all over the world. With blockchain and rooftop GES applications, individuals and institutions will have the chance to receive electricity from each other. The world's largest technology companies are coming together to fight global climate change and to support the cheapening and spread of clean energy technologies. Google, which you know as a search engine, is the world's largest clean energy investor with an investment of over 5 GW+.

Solarbaba, which expects all these changes to increase rapidly, organized the second SolarVizyon conference, a chain of events that try to understand and explain the ecosystem, on October 25, 2019 at Izmir Hilton Hotel.

The SolarVision conference, which puts the near future of the clean energy sector, especially solar energy, and the new business models waiting for us on the agenda, was held on October 25 at Izmir Hilton Hotel with wide participation.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who made the opening speech at the event held under the main sponsorship of ABB, Konar Energy, Smart Energy and Türkiye İş Bankası, stated that they want to remove all bureaucratic obstacles in front of solar energy investors and at the same time touched on the importance of energy cooperatives.

Solarbaba founder Ateş Uğurel said, "One of the main objectives of this event is to increase the energy literacy of the citizens, so that they can distinguish between right and wrong, good and bad more easily. If we support the right targets with the right policies, Turkey can achieve energy independence in a very short time and sign a very important success story in the world. The cornerstones of this success will be energy efficiency, energy storage with solar energy. Next year, in 2020, we will turn this event into a 2-day solar energy festival."

Ethem Eliaçık, Head of the Commercial Banking Department at Türkiye İş Bankası, touched on the importance of the loans they give to rooftop solar power plants and also explained that from now on, institutions that do not attach the necessary importance to energy efficiency, clean energy use and similar social issues will find it much more difficult to find loans than global markets.

Tolga Özdemir, one of the Founding Partners of Konar Energy, stated that the contractor companies providing turnkey services in the solar energy sector will also be affected by the digital transformation and those who cannot keep up with the change will experience great difficulties.

Halil Demirdağ, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Smart Energy, one of Turkey's leading solar panel manufacturers, touched upon the importance of producing domestic technology and solutions in the renewable energy sector.

ABB Local Solar Department Sales Manager Emrah Güvercin stated in his statement that the right engineering and the right equipment selection will minimize the risks in rooftop solar power plants and that it is not right to scare people.

In the rest of the conference, important issues such as increasing the performance of solar power plants with artificial intelligence, solar powered autonomous electric vehicles, energy trade with the registration chain, Turkey's energy history, problems in legislation, women's employment in the sector were discussed in 4 different open sessions.
