Valmet acquires Enertechnix, Washington, USA, which develops advanced solutions for combustion system control and monitoring technologies. Enertechnix is a leader in the US market with innovative technologies for boiler monitoring and temperature level measurement. The acquisition of Enertechnix, which is considered a cooperation in line with Valmet's worldwide strategy, enables Valmet to complete its automation solutions for the pulp, paper and energy sectors. With this collaboration, Valmet will offer more comprehensive solutions to improve the efficiency, availability and safety of waste heat and power plant boilers. Enertechnix has an expert staff of about 20 people. George Kychakoff, CEO and founder of Enertechnix, expressed his excitement for the collaboration, adding: "I believe that our leading products and technologies will develop further with Valmet, so that all our products and technologies will be more easily accessible to our customers worldwide. We are excited and happy to be a part of Valmet." Enertechnix products Enertechnix has developed high-resolution IR camera systems with system control software for superior online visibility and temperature level analysis. The cameras in question are able to capture images despite dust and gas, which allow monitoring of what is happening anywhere in the combustion chamber and can block the image even at a depth of up to 24 meters. The acoustic pyrometer offered by the company is a non-contact measuring device that can measure the instantaneous gas temperature level profile at any point in the boiler with very high precision. Enertechnix has also developed a lightweight, fully digital imaging system with a visible wavelength that delivers unprecedented operational images of extremely high-temperature processes in ovens, boilers, hobs and other environments with high-resolution HD video quality. The company also offers an image processing software to provide additional information from networked cameras.
