As of July 1, 2021 , Annika Klar has been appointed as the General Manager of Hannover Fairs Turkey Fuarcılık, the Turkish office of the German exhibition company Deutsche Messe AG. Annika Klar and Alexander Kühnel, who have been General Manager since 2009, will serve together as Co-General Manager until the end of November 2021 and complete the transfer process. From this date, Kühnel will continue to support the Hannover Fairs Turkey management as an advisor until the end of June 2022.

Annika Klar, who has 17 years of exhibition experience, has been serving as Assistant General Manager at Hannover Fairs Turkey since 1 January 2021. Prior to this, Klar was Director of Global Sales at Deutshe Messe, the company's headquarters in Hanover, from 2013 to 2020.

Prior to joining the Deutsche Messe team, Annika Klar was Strategic Business Development Director and Project Director at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH from 2004 to 2013. The two met the other day and made a speech about Mr. Klar's appointment. Alexander Kühnel expressed his belief that Annika Klar will add great strength to the Hannover Fairs with his strong experience; Annika Klar thanked Alexander Kühnel, who took over the task, for his contribution to the company's position as a leader in the sector so far. Annika Klar said, "Turkey's developing industry and years of success in the exhibition sector have already made it a target market for many countries. My primary goal in my new role will be to contribute to this."
