We talked to Alaadtin Birkan Yüksel about the company and its products. Could you briefly tell us about your company? Arken generator is a generator manufacturing company with 100% Turkish capital with an annual production capacity of 5000 diesel generators in the range of 10 to 2500 kVA. Our factory is located on an area of 14.000 m2 in Arnavutköy, Istanbul. As Arken generator, we have structured the sales, leasing and after-sales services of the generator groups we have produced with our own registered brand with 2 regional representative offices in Ege and Çukurova and authorized dealers in 37 provinces in addition to the Istanbul Anatolian Side Regional Directorate, Ankara and Antalya Regional Directorates. In addition to our sales, after-sales services and rental services in Turkey, we export to many countries such as Poland, Cyprus, Chile, England, Kosovo, Romania, Greece, Hungary, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Thailand, Georgia, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Ethiopia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Nigeria, Liberia, Senegal, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ghana. Could you briefly tell us about the Product Groups and their general features? Our product range includes diesel generator sets in the range of 10 to 2500 kVA as well as marine, natural gas and portable generator sets. We use diesel engines such as Perkins, Baudouin, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Sdec, Quanchai in our diesel generator sets. We use original European alternators from Linz, Stamford and Leroy Somer as alternators. In addition, we have recently launched our own NEKRA branded alternators. In our portable generator groups, we have an American brand Briggs & Stratton engine gasoline generator group that stands out with its quality. In addition, as Arken Generator, we have been the exclusive distributor of Linz alternators in Turkey since 2013. How do you work to reduce generator noise levels? The loud operation of a generator leads to environmental noise and adversely affects life. By taking a number of measures, designs to reduce the noise level in the generator are possible. Arken generator is basically as; acoustic barriers, acoustic insulation, vibration receivers, sound attenuators, exhaust silencers, generator set and increasing the distance in living spaces, remote radiator applications and synchronous systems. Especially for businesses such as houses, banks, hospitals, schools, markets, where silence is extremely important, our generators with noise-canceling cabinets with a sound level of 74 dbA at a distance of 1 meter in the range of 10 – 200 kVA are attracting great attention. What kind of work do you have on remote management of generators and synchronous work? Our generator groups can work in parallel. Due to the fact that both our management and production staff are engineer-oriented and years of experience; We are preferred in engineering-oriented project works such as synchronization, remote monitoring, high voltage generator. Synchronized systems reduce investment and operating costs. These systems are prepared by our engineers and technicians. In these systems, where two or more generators work in parallel and transfer power from a common single busbar, the generators work together when the power is cut off and take the load on themselves after synchronization. Then, according to the condition of the load, the generator remains in operation enough to lift the load, and the other one is deactivated. In addition, if synchronous is made with the network, in case of certain power cuts in advance, the generators are operated before the interruption and synchronized with the network and take the load on themselves. When the electricity comes, they are synchronized with the network and transfer the load to the network and deactivated. In this way, no power interruption is felt. Synchronous systems are generally preferred in hospitals, hotels and shopping centers and our company, which specializes in project work, offers the most advantageous and reliable solutions in this regard. Can you give information about your after-sales services? The generator needs to hibernate as if it will be activated at any moment. Therefore, their maintenance should be done on time. We also make periodic maintenance agreements with our customers for each generator. In this context, the generators are checked on-site every two months, the consumables are replaced, the worn parts that may cause failure are replaced in advance, and the tests of the generators are repeated at idle / load and they are kept ready. We keep the minimum stock of original spare parts for each of the engine and alternator brands we serve in the central, regional and dealer warehouses. In this way, we try to shorten the time to solve the fault as much as possible.
