Millions of electricity customers will be able to opt in to the "e-Archive Invoice" application by changing their billing notification preference and receive their electricity bills via e-mail or text message instead of paper invoices. Within the scope of electricity supply activities, Aydem and Gediz Elektrik, which continue to implement their innovative works through digital channels, continue their environmentalist practices by increasing their service quality. Customers who choose to receive their electricity bills via email or text message will be able to save paper and view their bills easily. What are the Actions to be Taken? Customers will first need to update their contract account contact information to take advantage of the new regulation. Invoice notification preferences can be changed via the online.aydem.com / online.gediz.com pages or by filling out the application form at the nearest customer relations center. After the completion of the applications to the e-Archive Invoice application, the invoices in the first period will be sent via e-mail or text message, and no notification will be made by paper invoice method in the following periods. Customers will only be able to choose one of these three different invoice pickup options. Paper Will Contain All Components of the Invoice In accordance with the communiqué numbered 397 of the Tax Procedure Code, the invoice transmitted by e-mail or text message replaces the original paper invoice and will include all the components of the original paper invoice. In accordance with the relevant communiqué of the Tax Procedure Law and within the framework of the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law for customers who have changed their invoice notification preference, invoices will no longer be left as paper at the counter site and will not be notified as paper. Waste of Paper Will Disappear from Our Lives With this application, which was initiated with the aim of restoring the paper used in invoices to the nature with a social responsibility approach, an important step will be taken for a sustainable future by drawing attention to the fact that hundreds of trees are cut down every year due to the use of paper invoices.
