Acquisition of Süloğlu Wind Power Plant by Entek Elektrik, the Energy Group company of Koç Holding; The signing of the Share Purchase Agreement was completed following the approval of the Competition Authority and the transaction notification to EMRA. Aiming to diversify its portfolio among renewable energy sources, Entek has also achieved its first wind power plant with the investment it has made in the Süloğlu Wind Power Plant.
Pointing out that the wind farm in Edirne, which was purchased through the share transfer method, is an important step in Koç Group's growth strategy in sustainable and renewable energy resources, Yağız Eyüboğlu, President of Koç Holding Energy Group, said, "Entek continues to strengthen its portfolio with the vision of being a leading company in renewable energy. When we won the largest privatization tender in 2017 and added Menzelet and Kılavuzlu Hydroelectric Power Plants to our portfolio, we demonstrated our vision and belief in the future of our country. I believe that the wind farm investment made by Entek in parallel with its long-term growth strategy will contribute to the company's production portfolio."
Entek Elektrik General Manager Bilal Tuğrul Kaya said in his statement, "With the acquisition of Süloğlu Wind Power Plant, which has a total installed capacity of 60 MW, we are taking our place in the wind energy sector. With this power plant, our total installed power has reached 437 MW and our total installed power in renewable energy has reached 325 MW. In the coming period, we plan to continue our investments by aiming to reach a balanced production portfolio in terms of resource diversity."
