FLIR has announced the "Extech CLT600", an advanced cable finder and tracer kit designed for professionals engaged in field troubleshooting, wiring diagnostics and electrical installation verification in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

A first for FLIR in the cable finding and wire monitoring product category, the Extech CLT600 is an easy-to-use tool that helps professionals:

• It can follow electrically operated/powerless wires and cables on walls, ceilings and floors.
• Can find the point position of breaks in cables and wires
• Can identify relevant fuses or cutters on panels

The CLT600 has non-contact voltage technology and a safety rating of CATIII-450 V; This allows electricians, supervisors, service technicians and general builders to avoid direct contact with cables that are out of power, while quickly measuring up to 450 Volts of AC/DC voltage to maintain control of the cables. With an ergonomic and robust design, the CLT600 helps to increase work efficiency on site thanks to a backlit display for use in low-light conditions. There is also a silent mode for real-time feedback and quiet operation status with audible and visual (digital and analog) indicators.
