Schneider Electric's Innovation Summit Istanbul, organized on October 11-12 to strengthen and digitize the economy, brought together important names of the public, NGOs, industry and business world.
Experts looking for ways to create a stronger economy in a rapidly digitalizing world had the chance to meet Schneider Electric's new solutions and pioneering technology.
The Summit, which is the first and only innovation meeting of the year in the Middle East and Africa region, attracted more than 1,500 professionals, especially Schneider Electric global and local senior management, customers, business partners and suppliers.

Schneider Electric, a global expert in energy management and automation, held the Innovation Summit Istanbul, where it discusses digitalization and the next generation economy, on 11-12 October 2018 at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center.Hosted by more than 2000 Schneider Electric partners, customers and thought leaders, the event featured experts on "Empowering and Digitizing the Economy". The event was hosted by Luc Rémont, Vice President of Schneider Electric Worldwide, Peter Herweck, Vice President of Global Industry Business Unit, Chris Leong, Vice President of Marketing, Caspar Herzberg, Regional President of Schneider Electric Middle East and Africa, and Bora Tuncer, Regional President of Turkey, Iran and Central Asia at Schneider Electric. The Innovation Summit series, which has been held in different parts of the world for two years, brings together Schneider Electric's global know-how and technology with professionals, solution experts and Internet of Things (IoT) leaders with 20 different events this year. Within the scope of the event series aiming to offer solutions to the problems faced by the world with new generation technologies, Innovation Summit Istanbul was held for the first time this year. At the meeting, where the opportunities and challenges arising with digitalization were evaluated, the participants had the opportunity to share their bold ideas and create new collaborations with the network created. Remont also reminded that they started as a small technology company 40 years ago, adding that they allocate 5 percent of their revenues to R&D and 45 percent to the internet of things every year, which they started about 20 years ago. During the event, participants had the opportunity to listen to 4 different strategy talks and participate in 16 expert sessions. The Schneider Electric Innovation Center, built on an area of 1,500 square meters, showcased the technologies that are shaping the future of energy and automation. With the network environment created, it was possible to enrich regional collaborations.
Solutions and technologies driving the digital economy Innovation Summit Istanbul aims to create growth and transformation with technology both in the country and in the region. In this context, Schneider Electric introduced its new technologies that serve digital transformation, especially innovations in EcoStruxure, during the event. The highlights of the event were as follows:
- MasterPact MTZ: The new generation low voltage circuit breaker MasterPact MTZ has been designed with the needs and demands of customers in mind and is seen as a step into the future with its high level of adaptation power. It provides a more flexible, faster and more economical solution.
- Altivar Process: The integrated, intelligent, connected Altivar Process speed controller is designed to serve Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) efforts with the ability to collect data and share information. Thus, while saving costs, it also increases efficiency and profitability.
- Easergy P3: The medium-voltage protection relay Easergy P3 offers its users high-tech and lean and more reliable solutions.
