Turkey's first hybrid generator developed by Teksan R&D team provides uninterrupted energy to giant projects around the world. The hybrid generator, which demonstrates Teksan Generator's R&D power
, has recently become the choice of Total E&P's floating oil platform in the North Sea. The project, which was realized with the joint work of Teksan and Total engineering teams, stands out as a first in the world generator and energy sectors as the only hybrid generator used in a floating oil extraction platform. One of the world's most challenging work areas is the floating oil platforms in the North Sea, which stretches all the way to the North Pole. The energy needs of these platforms, which operate in kilometers of open from land, are provided by generators. In addition to the high fuel consumption costs of the generators that work 24 hours a day in the facilities, the refueling of the generators on the platforms by helicopters also stands out as a serious cost item. The solution to this problem in the platforms located in the North Sea and owned by Total came from a Turkish company, Teksan Generator. Teksan Generator has become both an uninterrupted and low-cost energy solution on Total E&P's floating oil platform in the North Sea with its hybrid generator developed in accordance with Industry 4.0 technology. The hybrid generator system, designed specifically for the harsh conditions of the North Sea, was so successful that it was also selected as Total's "most innovative application" within the

company in its first year. Teksan's signature hybrid generators, which provide the uninterrupted energy need of the Total E&P floating oil extraction platform located 100 kilometers from the land off the coast of the Netherlands 24/7, reduce the fuel consumption and fuel renewal period of the platform by 40 percent and the frequency of periodic maintenance by 80 percent. With their efficiency, the products also provide significant savings in both fuel, supply and maintenance costs. With the introduction of the solar panels used in the design of the project, the dependence on fossil fuels will be eliminated and all the energy needs of the platform will be provided from these solar panels. Stating that it is necessary to produce innovative products in order to have a say in the global economy
, Teksan Generator Sales and Marketing Board Member Burak Başeğmazlar said; "As Teksan, we have set as our primary goal to provide added value to the Turkish economy.

We believe that the power that will carry our country forward is high-tech domestic production. We have been planning all our investments in this direction for a quarter of a century. In a sector such as energy, where Turkey is dependent on foreign countries, we are developing solutions that will solve the current account deficit with domestic production. We play a leading role in our sector and implement many firsts. Today, while the number of companies using hybrid technology worldwide does not exceed the fingers of one hand, in 2015 we produced the hybrid generator for the first time in Turkey with our own R & D and engineering experience. We cooperated with TÜBİTAK in the hybrid power system using renewable energy sources. In a short period of three years, our hybrid generator has become the choice of international giant projects. This is an achievement that we are proud of, not only on behalf of our company, but also on behalf of our country. However, such a production model can be a solution to our current account deficit. In addition, we joined the R&D Centers last year. Thus, our advanced technology investments gained momentum. Our aim is to increase our exports in hybrid power systems, which have an important share among the future goals of our company, with new projects."
