'2020 INVESTMENT' MOVE BY YEDAŞ ELECTRICITY

Continuing to provide 'Sustainable Electrical Energy' services to its customers, YEDAŞ started 'Electricity Distribution Network Improvement' projects. YEDAŞ General Manager Hasan Yasir Bora stated that they have taken action with a large investment and maintenance and repair budget in order to provide solutions to problems related to electrical failures and voltage drops, especially in rural settlements.

YEDAŞ is renewing its electricity distribution networks with the aim of 'Providing Quality and Uninterrupted Energy to its customers' with the 2020 program.

Operating 24/7 to provide quality and uninterrupted electricity service to its 3 million customers in an area of 40 thousand square kilometers with the investments it has made in Samsun, Ordu, Çorum, Amasya and Sinop and 66 districts connected to them, which are under its responsibility, YEDAŞ starts to renew its electricity distribution network within the scope of investment and maintenance and repair works in 2020.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORKS

YEDAŞ, whose general directorate is located in Samsun, has started preventive maintenance and repair works throughout the 5 provinces where it provides electricity distribution services. YEDAŞ General Manager Hasan Yasir Bora said, "As of Monday, June 15, we have started comprehensive maintenance and repair works in 5 provinces with a team of 200 personnel and 80 vehicles." Within the scope of these works, with a budget of 22 million TL, 4 thousand poles that have lost their economic life will be replaced and 70 distribution centers will be renovated. Again, with this workforce we have created for maintenance and repair works, it is aimed to complete periodic observation and preventive maintenance works of approximately 1,879 cutting measuring cabinets, 7,286 distribution transformers, 8,526 km of energy transmission lines.

General Manager Hasan Yasir Bora, who stated that they will be in an effort to provide sustainable, high quality and uninterrupted electrical energy to the people of the region with an investment exceeding 300 million liras as YEDAŞ, said, "In our region, 380 distribution transformers, 1,600 km energy transmission lines, 200 km underground electricity network, 35,000 electricity poles will be established in residential areas outside the city, especially in the villages. The solution of the de-escalation problems experienced in the whole region will also be provided. Our teams will also be renewing insulators and conductors that have lost their economic life in order to prevent power outages," Electricity Turkey magazine said.

Electric magazine YEDAŞNATURAL HABITATS ARE PROTECTED

General Manager Bora, who stated that they take maximum care to protect their natural habitats by not interfering with the stork nests on the poles during the works carried out especially on the energy transmission lines, said, "With approximately 22 km of line insulation closure material, we will be providing insulation in 11 thousand poles, especially on bird migration roads, both for the protection of natural life and to prevent energy cuts. In addition, we are trying to prevent the constraints that may be experienced in the continuity of electrical energy supply with the pruning of forest inventories under the line in 1,200 km of energy transmission lines passing through densely wooded areas. As YEDAŞ, we are particularly sensitive to protecting nature and protecting natural habitats in all our activities and in all our investment activities."

Stating that they see 2020 as the 'Year of Investment', YEDAŞ General Manager Hasan Yasir Bora said, "Following the investments made in the cities, we concentrate on the residential areas in the countryside and ensure that our customers benefit from sustainable, high quality and uninterrupted energy. We are aware of the problems experienced in the use of electricity in these regions. For this reason, we have started maintenance, repair and investment works with a big budget move. We are working with all our strength to eliminate all problems in the use of electrical energy. We will complete our 'Distribution Network Improvement Projects' in our rural residential areas far from urban centers by the end of 2020. With the innovations we implemented in 2020 and our newly formed maintenance teams, we have benefited the network significantly. As YEDAŞ, our primary goal is to implement the principle of '100 Percent Customer Satisfaction' with sustainable, high quality and uninterrupted electrical energy."
