ADM and GDZ Elektrik received R&D Award with the 'Smart Bracelet' they developed

ADM and GDZ Electricity Distribution have signed an important innovative work in the field of occupational safety and developed the 'Smart Bracelet' with the 4. He received an award in the Occupational Health and Safety category at the R&D Workshop in Energy.

ADM and GDZ Electricity Distribution, which aims to add value to the sector with the projects it has developed and to carry the technology to the areas it serves, received the 'R&D Achievement Award' with its 'Smart Bracelet' project at the 4th Energy R&D Workshop organized this year in cooperation with the Electricity Distribution Services Association (ELDER) under the coordination of EMRA.

The awards were given by EMRA President Mustafa Yılmaz. ADM and GDZ Electricity Distribution, which continue to work on the development of smart wearable technologies to improve occupational safety, aim to prevent possible work accidents in the electricity distribution sector with their R & D studies in this field.

A first in the sector in the field of occupational safety; 'Smart Bracelet'

Smart wristbands that employees will carry on protect employees against the risks that may occur during the intervention to the malfunction. Employees will be warned visually and vibrationally with wristbands that act as detectors in places where high-voltage equipment is available. This design, whose R&D belongs to ADM and GDZ Electricity Distribution, will also set an example in the field of occupational safety as a first in the sector.

GDZ Electricity Distribution General Manager Uğur Yüksel emphasized the importance of R&D projects and support to projects after the ceremony and said, "We are proud to receive this award with our new project 'Smart Bracelet' where we bring together the concepts of human value and innovation that we focus on in all our activities. With the smart wristband, which our employees will carry comfortably and continuously, we have raised the bar on Occupational Health and Safety in the electricity distribution sector. All studies to be carried out in this field; will ensure that all kinds of risks are prevented. Our employees provide 24/7 service in the field to ensure that the electricity distribution service is carried out uninterruptedly. They carry out their operations in the same environment where the energetic equipment, which we often call live, is located. The wristband designed within the scope of the project will warn the employee with vibration and audibly when energized equipment is approached in a way that endangers the safety of the person. With the 'Smart Bracelet' project we have implemented, we will significantly prevent work accidents. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the project."
