Elektra Electronics Selling Electronic Products to China Takes America to Its Goal

The company, which exports to 60 countries on 6 continents, is preparing to increase its export rate to 70 percent in 2020 with the investment that doubles its factory capacity

Elektra Elektronik, which is also present in the German market through its Cologne-based company Elektra Power Quality, plans to add America to its export markets after the investment that will double the capacity of its existing factory. In line with this goal, Elektra Elektronik has established an office in the United States and is the only company in Turkey with UL Certificate that makes it possible to export to America in the low-voltage transformer and reactor sector. Elektra Elektronik, which aims to increase its total export rate from 50 percent to 70 percent in 2020, is on its way to becoming a world brand.

Elektra Elektronik, which stands out with its advanced technology products in many different sectors such as construction, rail systems, electrical, electronics, automation, robotics and maritime in Turkey and worldwide, gathers its products in three groups as transformers, reactors and electronic products. Elektra Elektronik General Manager Emin Armağan Şakar, who stated that they export domestic and national transformers and electronic products to 60 countries, especially to China, Spain, Germany, France, New Zealand, Africa, Middle East and South American countries, from its factory in Esenyurt, Istanbul, stated that 50 percent of the brand's turnover consists of domestic market and 50 percent of exports. Explaining that they declared 2019 as the "Year of Breakthrough" with the rapid increase in overseas market share and business volume, Şakar stated that in this context, the works for the investment that will double the capacity of the factories operating in Istanbul Esenyurt and reach 10 thousand square meters are continuing rapidly. Stating that they aim to complete the growth and renovation works at the factory by the end of 2019, Şakar said that they foresee growth between 10 and 15 percent by increasing the export rate to 70 percent in 2020.

Has offices in China and America

Underlining that Elektra Elektronik, which has offices in China and the United States as well as Turkey, is the only company in Turkey with UL Certificate that makes it possible to export to America in the low-voltage transformer and reactor sector, Şakar said; "As Elektra Elektronik, we plan to add America to our export markets with our new investment. We already have offices in the United States and China. We realize 20 percent of our exports mainly to China with transformer and harmonic filter products. We are attracting great interest from Chinese companies that want to export the systems they have developed using these products that comply with European standards to Europe."

He also has a company in Germany

Stating that Elektra Elektronik realizes 40 percent of its exports to Europe, Şakar said; "We are also present in the German market with our company Elektra Power Quality, based in Cologne, Germany. This company stands out as an important investment that will make a great contribution to the commercial activities of our brand abroad.
