Moving to Digital Dimension

Thanks to the Digital Industry Transformation, i.e. Industry 4.0, a smart factory in the future will be a very large data center with interconnected digital networks. Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, by translating this into meaningful information, better business decisions can be made, performance can be improved at the highest level, and the future can be predicted much more perfectly. What we were most impressed with today was the diversity of technology that underpinned Digitial Transformation; What a tremendous variety from Artificial Intelligence to the Internet of Things! There is a wide range of opportunities to use these technologies. Where are we, as MAKEL, in this wide range? Since the early 2000s with a great vision, MAKEL has been investing in the technologies of the future in this sense. Turkey has become one of the leading companies by investing in the most advanced German technology Assembly Automation machines in its sector. Makel was not satisfied with these investments and had a very serious knowledge to do it himself. He started to manufacture the assembly automation machines by making his own designs. MAKEL manufactures all assembly machines itself and equips the control systems of the machines with the most advanced technologies fully compatible with Industry 4.0, taking into account the future digital revolution. In the Siemens TIA Portal Profinet-supported LED BULB Automation Project, which can produce 3 times faster than its Far Eastern competitors, which are completely our own design and manufacture at the latest stage, we are working at the extreme end of the Artificial Intelligence revolution and applying sophisticated algorithms such as Fuzzy Logic, Machine Learning to solve the most urgent preventive maintenance problems of the system... By establishing MES (Manufacturing Execution System), which is the most important component of Industry 4.0 applications to be realized for the first time in the sector in Turkey, using data analytics applications and Artificial Intelligence approaches, we are stepping into a new era with advanced algorithms for predictive maintenance, productivity analysis and decision support mechanisms. Within this scope, no examples have been found in large lighting manufacturers from the Far East. MAKEL IT infrastructure, Big Data system and UYS / MES (Production Execution System) application, Data Processing Analytics / Artificial Intelligence applications will be an example for applications in different sectors and fields. As MAKEL, with our Industry 4.0 project, we have reached a different new dimension with the data obtained from thousands of sensors and technological equipment parts; We are preparing for the Digital Factory. With more than 10,000 sensors, we monitor all production stages in real time, we combine 20 million pieces of process data daily with advanced algorithms such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning (DeepLearning) and the gap between plant machines and decision support management systems. With Industry 4.0, we focus on a very different Dimension beyond just gathering information about the processes that take place at the plant level: DigitalTechnology. However, MAKEL's first priority is to ensure that the overall equipment efficiency data is at real values thanks to the manufacturing operating system (MES). The aim is not only to predict failures and problems, but also to reach a new dimension, namely the Digital Factory, with BigData, IoT (Internet of Things). In this context, with our partner Siemens IT LMS software, which we have chosen as MAKEL, we are taking very important steps for our future digital factory in our Industry 4.0 project. Due to the MAKEL Industry 4.0 project, which is the first application made in Turkey on such a large scale, we believe that the Amberg plant tour, which is the first Digital Factory in the world with the invitation of our partner Siemens, will bring very important horizons to our project. With this system to be developed, an important contribution will be made to both our domestic market sales and exports as a DOMESTIC manufacturer in the lighting market, which reaches 1 billion dollars annually and a very large part of which is met by imports mainly from China. We believe that all these works will be an example for applications both in the lighting sector and in different sectors and areas. After all; As Makel, we are starting the Digital Smart Factory era with Industry 4.0 and there is a long way to go for this purpose. By integrating and connecting all activities and establishing cyber-physical systems that communicate with each other and making sophisticated analyzes with Big Data, wasted time and unnecessary downtime will be eliminated. By establishing smart supply chains, just-in-time production and perfect stock management can be established, and we can make a win-win with our business stakeholders. As Turkey, we should not miss the new industrial revolution. For this purpose, Makel does not stop working on behalf of Turkey and the future in this troubled economic environment and continues to invest rapidly. As MAKEL, we believe that we have to succeed.
