Great Support to Entrepreneurs from EMRA and ELDER

EMRA and ELDER gave awards to two entrepreneurs in the Big Bang Start-up Challenge competition organized by ITU Core.
In the Big Bang Start-up Challenge competition, which is organized annually by ITU Çekirdek within Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Arı Teknokent and where the best of new initiatives are brought together with awards and investments, this year's investment recipients and award winners have been announced. In the competition, where more than TL 52 million in investments and awards were distributed in total, a total of TL 100,000 in prize support was provided to entrepreneurs evaluated in the field of energy by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) and the Electricity Distribution Services Association – ELDER. The awards were presented to the entrepreneurs by Sadık Çakı, Member of EMRA R&D Commission, and Murat Pınar, Member of the Board of Directors of ELDER.

ENTREPRENEURS WHO RECEIVED AWARDS FROM EPDK AND ELDER
The entrepreneurs who were entitled to the ELDER award in the Big Bang Start-up Challenge competition were:
Car4Future Technologies: The initiative, an energy-sharing network developed with blockchain for electric and autonomous vehicles, allows electric vehicles to transfer their energy to other electric vehicles and recharging units.
Sensemoreio: Sensemoreio, which produces the world's smallest wireless vibration sensor, offers a fast, compact and easy-to-use solution for vibration measurement needs. Users can measure vibrations up to 1kHz even under the most demanding conditions, and thanks to the Auxiliary mobile application, measurements can be viewed and processed instantly
SUPPORT TO YOUNG TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES
Murat Pınar, Member of the Board of Directors of ELDER, stated that they show the importance they attach to R&D by supporting seed and early stage young technology company initiatives in the electricity distribution sector. In this context, the 4th Annual Meeting to be held in Ankara on 18-19 December. In the Energy R&D Workshop, the final of the Utility Day Entrepreneurship competition held in cooperation with EMRA & ELDER will be held."
4. ENERGY R&D WORKSHOP IN ANKARA ON 18-19 DECEMBER 2019
Organized by the Electricity Distribution Services Association (ELDER) under the coordination of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), the "4. Energy R&D Workshop" will be held in Ankara on 18-19 December 2019.
The opening speeches will be made by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, the President of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority Mustafa Yılmaz, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ELDER Serhat Çeçen and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Natural Gas Distributors Association of Turkey (GAZBİR) Yaşar Arslan. It will bring together universities, technocities and R&D companies in Turkey with electricity and natural gas distribution companies.
On the second day of the workshop, the final event of the "EMRA & ELDER Utility Day" entrepreneurship competition will be held.Early stage young technology company entrepreneurs who develop their ideas and bring them to a certain stage (pre-MPV, MPV ready, post-MPV, product ready or sold) will be selected as the closest to the sector and will be able to take the stage at EMRA & ELDER Utility Day. Potential entrepreneurs and investors who take part as spectators will also have the opportunity to be aware of innovative ideas and business models and to meet with emerging startups.
300 THOUSAND TL PRIZE WILL BE GIVEN TO ENTREPRENEURS
Awards will be given to the entrepreneurs selected for the Top 3 in EMRA & ELDER Utility Day. A total of 300.000 TL will be awarded, including 150.000-TL for the first, 100.000-TL for the second and 50.000-TL for the third.
BILATERAL MEETINGS WILL BE PROVIDED
In the workshop where bilateral meetings (B2B) can be held during the event; It is aimed to share the priorities and needs of electricity and natural gas distribution companies for R&D projects, the projects of universities and researchers for the sector and the R&D supports of the relevant institutions with the participants.The workshop is open to everyone and registration and program information about the workshop can be made at www.elderargecalistayi.info.
