Limak Energy Receives Award at Energy and Natural Resources Summit

Bringing together the giants of the sector 3. Limak Energy won the "Social Responsibility Project" award at the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Summit.

The 3rd summit, which aims to direct Turkey's energy policy and was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, was held at Çırağan Palace this year. While the summit brought together the giants of the sector, the national and global energy agenda was discussed with the panels and sessions organized throughout the summit.

Corporate social responsibility awards were also given at the summit where the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez made important statements. The Green Transformation Forests Project, initiated by Limak Energy in order to recycle the papers used in invoice and subscription transactions to nature and to balance the amount of paper consumed, 3. Turkey was deemed worthy of an award at the Energy and Natural Resources Summit. The company's plaque, which received an award in the category of "Corporate Social Responsibility Project", was presented to Limak Energy CEO Birol Ergüven by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez and the Minister of Energy and Economy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Hasan Taçoy.

While 4000 trees were brought to nature within the scope of the Green Transformation Forests Project implemented by Limak Energy, which produces projects not only in its field of activity but also in social issues that concern the society, in order to protect the environment; 200 tons of paper will be saved, 5 million liters of water loss, 19 thousand kg of waste will be released into the nature and 272 tons of CO2 emissions will be prevented. Limak Energy, while resetting its paper footprint with this project, aims to become fully digital in the future by raising awareness of all its customers about the transition to electronic invoices. In addition, the company raises awareness about the efficient use of energy with the Saving Team established within the scope of the 'Energetic Touch Project'. The team of energy efficiency experts goes from house to house, giving information to citizens about how to save energy.
