Enerjisa Enerji Takes Place in the UN Global Compact and Borsa İstanbul Sustainability Index

Considering the concept of sustainability from a holistic perspective, Enerjisa Enerji took its place in the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact) and Borsa İstanbul Sustainability Index.
Enerjisa Enerji, Turkey's leading company in electricity distribution and retail sales, has become a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative.
The UN Global Compact, of which approximately 10,000 companies, NGOs and educational institutions are members in more than 160 countries around the world, supports companies in aligning their strategies and operations with 10 principles in areas such as human rights, labor standards and the environment, while also leading the way in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Prioritizing security of supply and uninterrupted energy issues in energy supply in the sustainability agenda**, Enerjisa** Enerji continues its investments to ensure continuity in energy supply and leads the sector with its work in the fields of energy efficiency and e-mobility.
While Enerjisa Enerji continues its activities in the energy sector with a sustainability perspective, it will continue to comply with global principles and invest in social awareness on environmental and social issues in all its business processes.
Enerjisa Enerji is in Istanbul Sustainability Index
Enerjisa Enerji, It was included in the BIST Sustainability Index, which includes the companies traded on Borsa Istanbul and performing best in the field of corporate sustainability.
Following its successful public offering in 2018, Enerjisa Enerji focused on Corporate Sustainability and aimed to develop a strategic and holistic approach to economic, environmental and social factors in order to create long-term value. Within this framework, it published its first Sustainability report in 2019.
In the BIST Sustainability Index, which was created to increase the understanding, knowledge and practices on sustainability among Borsa İstanbul companies, companies are evaluated according to criteria such as environment, biodiversity, climate change, human rights, board structure, occupational health and safety.
As a result of the evaluation made in cooperation with London-based EIRIS, an independent research company, 56 companies managed to enter the BIST Sustainability Index in 2019.

Michael Moser, CEO of Enerjisa Enerji, who made evaluations on the subject, said, "We see sustainability as an important element of our share story.
