KABLODER'S 2020 GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING HAS BEEN HELD!

The 2020 General Assembly Meeting of the Cable Industrialists' Association (Kabloder), the application and meeting point of the Turkish cable industry, was held on Monday, March 2.

Kabloder, which includes 21 leading manufacturers of the Turkish cable sector, has been working intensively on issues such as the development of the sector, identifying problems and reaching solutions since the day it was founded. The 2020 General Assembly Meeting of Kabloder, which says "Safety First" and draws attention with its work on quality, was held on March 2 at Ataşehir Develi Restaurant.

At the General Assembly Meeting, which was attended by the majority of Kabloder's members, the year 2019 was evaluated and the plans for 2020 were discussed. Stating that the issue of security will be at the forefront in the new period at the meeting where Corning Kablo is a guest member, Kabloder President Faik Kürkçü said, "We will continue the work we have carried out so far intensively in 2020 and beyond. For us it's always 'Safety First'. I hope that all stakeholders of our sector will act together with us in this process and we will bring our sector to much better points together.

Turkish cable manufacturers exported approximately 2 billion USD in 2019. A significant part of these exports were made to European countries, especially to England. As Kabloder, our goal will be to make our country export to different countries and to make a cable base." 

In the General Assembly, where the figures of cable imports to our country in recent years were also discussed, it was discussed that there would be no customs duties on fiber optic cable imports imported from China and that necessary studies would be carried out to prevent these cables from entering our country without any inspection.

Kabloder, which declared war against non-standard cables at the beginning of 2019, aims to increase quality awareness in the sector. Defining the starting point of its work as "Safety First", Kabloder has been working to increase inspections in the market and to prevent production and distribution that do not comply with standards. It is also in contact with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and is working intensively.
