Light + Building Frankfurt Postponed

Light + Building Fair, which will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, one of the world's leading trade fairs, has been postponed to September 2020 due to the Covid-19 (Corona) virus.

After the increasing spread of the coronavirus in Europe and intensive consultations, Messe Frankfurt decided to postpone Light + Building. The world's leading exhibition for lighting and building services technology will now be held in Frankfurt am Main from the middle to the end of 2020. ZVEI and ZVEH, the cooperation partners of the international trade fair, support this decision.

The unexpected emergence of Covid-19 in Italy as of the end of last week necessitated a re-analysis of the situation in close cooperation with public health officials of the City of Frankfurt. For Messe Frankfurt, a multi-stage health check has been created for guests from China, which will be extremely difficult to implement. In addition, with more and more travel restrictions imposed, it has become difficult for both visitors and exhibitors to attend the exhibition. Therefore, the organizers decided to postpone Light + Building. This decision is supported by Light + Building's business partners, the Electrical Installation Systems and Light Working Groups (ZVEI) of the Central Union of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Industry and the Central Association of German Electricians (ZVEH). The most prominent Italian associations also support this decision. After Germany, the largest groups of exhibitors and visitors come from China and Italy.
