Türkerler prepares for 664 million USD geothermal investment in Alaşehir

Türkerler Holding, which has already invested 336 million USD in geothermal power plants in Manisa Alaşehir, is preparing to build new geothermal power plants. Festival held for the first time in Manisa, said that the investment of 664 million USD was on the way. Reminding that they have achieved 48 MW of installed power by investing a total of 200 million USD with JES 1 and JES 2 Geothermal Power Plants in Manisa Alaşehir so far, Kazım Türker added that the construction of JES 3 power plant with a capacity of 30 MW is continuing. Kazım Türker continued his speech as follows: "We have a total installed capacity of 48MW with the JES 1 and JES 2 Geothermal Power Plants we have established in Alaşehir. With these plants, we obtain 360 million kWh of energy per year. In addition to these**
** power plants, which we have implemented with a total investment cost of 200 million USD, we continue the construction of the JES 3 power plant, which is worth 136 million USD, where we can obtain 220 million kWh of energy per year, without slowing down. In addition to all these developments, we will continue to implement new investments. After the construction of the JES 3 power plant, we plan to reach a total capacity of 248 MW by completing the investments of JES 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 respectively. With the completion of these projects, the annual production volume will reach 1.8 million MWh and the region will become a geothermal energy base. With our additional investments, we will have contributed a total of USD 1 billion to the region." Kazım Türker emphasized that Manisa and the Aegean Region are of great value for Turkers and wished that both the festival and new investments would be beneficial to the economy of the region and the country.
