Armonitel, one of the first manufacturers that come to mind when it comes to Flexible Bara in Turkey, has achieved significant success by carrying its knowledge and skills not only to Turkey but also to international markets by carrying out its necessary corporate work. Our goal is to add a few more countries to these successes every year and to gain depth in these markets as a supplier of the largest energy companies in all the countries we export to. We included EMRE KÖK, one of the founding partners of ARMONİTEL, and his opinions about his company and the sector.

Could you give brief information about your company?

Our company has started its activities to produce copper and aluminum fasteners used in the electricity sector and has managed to become a continuous supplier of the leading corporate companies of our country in a short time since its establishment.

The biggest factor in our success has been to carry our management and manufacturing understanding and product quality to world standards by controlling it from A to Z. For this reason, the preswelded system, which is the welding method used in flexibel busbars made of foil copper, has been brought to our sector thanks to Armonitel's knowhow. Armonitel acts with the objectives of carrying out its necessary corporate activities and carrying its knowledge and skills not only to Turkey but also to international markets.

Our company started to export with all these works very soon after its establishment. We currently export regularly to 15 countries. In 2016, we expanded our targets by moving our headquarters and factory to our new building with a closed area of 4,000m2 in Istanbul-Beylikdüzü in order to provide better service to our customers and to increase our manufacturing capacity in the coming period and to enrich our product range.

Which countries do you export to?

We send our products directly to 15 countries, mostly European countries. We regularly export to Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Israel and Iran.

What are your export goals?

Every year, we have been able to add many large-scale companies that have become brands in international markets to our customer portfolio and become their long-term suppliers. In order to better serve these giant companies and our valued customers in Turkey, we have expanded our capacity by moving to our new factory and headquarters. Our goal is to add a few more countries every year to these successes we have achieved, and we aim to gain depth in the markets as a supplier of the largest energy companies in all the countries we export to.

Can you tell us about your products and product groups?

ARMONITEL produces connection bars in the sections required by the electricity sector by knitting copper or aluminum wires in certain dimensions. We also produce leaf bars from copper leaves. Due to our expertise in copper and aluminum raw material processing, we also produce special productions of our customers.

Where are your products used in which sectors?

Our products are successfully used in transformers, generators, cells, wherever there is energy production and distribution, transformer and panel connections, electrolysis coating facilities, melting furnaces, welding machines in the automotive sector, arc furnaces, induction furnaces, all kinds of grounding purposes.

Can you tell us about your understanding of quality?

Since our products are used in vital systems, quality in both raw materials and workmanship has been our first priority since our establishment. We keep the raw material quality at the highest level by working with the most important raw material suppliers of our country. HARMONY uses raw materials produced from cathode, not scrap.

ARMONITEL has ISO9001 and ISO14001 certificates. We also have a Ghost Certificate for Russia. Turkey's and the world's largest electricity companies test our quality and buy our products and as a result of their satisfaction, they add our company and its regular suppliers to the list.

What are the problems in your sector?

We recommend that our customers pay attention to the use of raw materials produced from cathode, not scrap. Raw materials produced from scrap shorten the life of products. ARMONITEL uses raw materials produced from cathode by making absolutely no concessions in this regard. In addition, when choosing products in the sector, a habit has been formed to order with current values, which can prevent customers from comparing products and using the right product.

Can you elaborate on that?

For example, we receive requests for 1,000A busbars. They demand that we determine the product sections. Factors such as how many amperes of current the busbar used will draw current, the length of the busbar, the size of the volume in which it will be used, how many of them will be used together, horizontal? Is it vertical? varies according to the clamping torque of the bolts used for fixing, the ambient temperature.

Our customers who will prefer the products and our customers need to apply the products in real terms and test their current capacity as a system, and this is the right method. In other words, the fact that manufacturers make a statement such as "my bar carries so much current in this section" prevents a correct and adequate evaluation and comparison.

The main thing is the purity of the copper used in the busbars. We are very sensitive about using the highest quality pure copper raw material that can be AUGMENTATIVE. The conductivity coefficient of copper is certain, and our customers choose the cross section according to the application and request products according to the specifications requested from us, and we produce in the requested section. The lack of a common language in the market on cross-section prevents the right product selection and comparison, and we have made it our duty to inform our customers technically about it.
